Today, I’ll introduce an English word I learned while I’ve been living with the Australian family.
“Lovely”
This word is the first word I remember since I came to this home and also, it’s my favorite word.
The word meaning is similar to “すてき(Suteki)” in Japanese.
However, I think the meaning is broader meaning than “すてき“, you can use “Lovely” when you have a good feeling about something.
~ How to use ~
<Ex.1> To others
A) I went hiking and looked at a beautiful waterfall.
B) Did you? Lovely!
<Ex.2>To express my feeling
A) Today‘s dinner is steak!
B) Lovely!
I knew the word when Father had said “Lovely” to me on the first day I met him and that moment still remains in my mind.
I love this word because it’s easy to use and it feels heartwarming.
He often says this word.
Words create the person who uses the words and contribute to the atmosphere around them.
“Lovely”
It’s my favorite English word and the word I want to say many times.
